Pipe Stress Analysis for Piping on Pig Launcher/ Receiver System

Pipe Stress Analysis for Piping on Pig Launcher/ Receiver System have some notices as below:

·        Pig Launcher/ Receiver shall be fixed one saddle and sliding another saddle.

·        Pay attention to the Design Code (B31.8, B31.4, B31.3, DNV, etc.)

·        Pay attention to the routing of small lines connect to  Pig Launcher/ Receiver.

·        Pay attention to loads on support and hanger flange.

·       During the basic engineering stage and early DE stage, the calculated nozzle loads at the face of the flange of the pig launcher/ receiver shall be provided to Mechanical Discipline for saddle design as soon as possible with an adequate margin for any routing modification during the DE stage.

·        The thermal loads at saddle locations shall also be passed to Structural Discipline for the design of supporting structures.
